This VR experience hosts over 100 Native American Baskets woven by Native American Indians from over 25 different tribes spanning from the Great Basin into California, Oregon, Nevada, and other western states. It was a multi-faceted collaborative project in partnership with the Anthropology Research Museum of the University of Nevada, Reno.

HIDDEN CAVE VR
The Hidden Cave Virtual Reality experience, designed by University Libraries’ @One Digital Media Team, includes a narrative tour of the cave, 3D artifacts you can pick up and handle, and multimedia information about the site, its formation, and its uses by Indigenous people for millennia.

RENO STREET ART VR PROJECT
By wearing the head-mounted VR display, users are able to experience over 100 different 360 video locations of street art along with the sights and sounds of everyday Reno that make this city unique.

Basque Sheepherder VR Project
Designed by University Libraries’ @One Digital Media Team, includes an empathetic narrative first person experience of living as a Basque sheepherder in the Great Basin in the 20th century. The experience lets users interact with 3D artifacts from the Jon Bilbao Basque Library. Users can explore 4 different landscapes, including visiting Basque Arborglyphs in a grove of aspen trees.
